GRAND ALLIANCE DROPS KOBE, ADDS NINGBO TO ASIA/MED SERVICE
Grand Alliance members Hapag-Lloyd Container Line, Malaysia International Shipping Corp., Nippon Yusen Kaisha, Orient Overseas Container Line and P&O Nedlloyd Container Line have replaced calls at Kobe with a new call at Ningbo on the joint weekly Asia/Mediterranean “Loop 6/M” service.
The last call at Kobe will be made by the vessel “Bunga Pelangi Dua” on May 7. The first call at Ningbo will be made by the “Ludwigshafen Express” on May 19.
The “Loop 6/M” service uses eight ships of about 4,500 TEUs and will have a revised port rotation of La Spezia, Barcelona, Fos, Damietta, Singapore, Hong Kong, Busan, Yokohama, Nagoya, Shanghai, Ningbo, Hong Kong, Singapore, Port Kelang, Damietta, La Spezia, Barcelona and Fos.
Malaysia International Shipping Corp. is only a member of the Grand Alliance in the Asia/Europe trade.
