Grand Alliance drops PNX leg from service
Grand Alliance carriers Hapag-Lloyd, NYK Line, OOCL and P&O Nedlloyd have curtailed the “PNX” U.S. West Coast/Asia leg on its 15-ship weekly U.S. East Coast/Mediterranean/Indian Subcontinent/Asia/U.S. West Coast “AEX/PNX” service.
Calls at Vancouver, B.C., Seattle, Shekou, Hong Kong and Kaohsiung have all been removed from the port rotation.
As a result of the restructuring, the remaining “AEX” leg will now only use nine ships of approximately 4,200 TEUs instead of 15.
The new rotation for the “AEX service is Savannah, Ga.; Norfolk, Va.; New York; Halifax, Nova Scotia; Gioia Tauro; Jeddah; Colombo; Singapore; Laem Chabang; Singapore; Colombo; Gioia Tauro; Halifax; New York; Savannah; and Norfolk.
