Great Wall Airlines adds Seoul to Amsterdam/Shanghai service
Great Wall Airlines will from Wednesday add stops at Seoul Incheon Airport in South Korea to its six-time-weekly freighter service between Shanghai, China and Amsterdam in the Netherlands.
Using a Boeing 747-400 freighter the service will depart Shanghai every day except Monday. The airline said it would become the first Chinese carrier to offer direct scheduled freighter services between Amsterdam and Seoul as well as becoming the largest cargo airline between the same airports.
Great Wall Airlines started operations in June with the original Shanghai/Amsterdam service and is a joint venture between China Great Wall Industry Corp., Singapore Airlines Cargo and Dahlia Investments Pte Ltd., which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Temasek Holdings.
Also Wednesday, the startup airline will start the previously announced twice-weekly freighter service from Shanghai to Mumbai and Chennai in India.
