HAMBURG-SUD ENTERS ASIA/EAST COAST AMERICA TRADE
Hamburg-Sud, the parent company of Columbus Line, will enter the Asia/East Coast South America trade in November, by taking space on Evergreen’s weekly Asia/South Africa/East Coast South America ESA service.
For the German shipping group, the first sailing will be that of the “Ever Guest” in Hong Kong on Nov. 9.
Earlier this year Columbus Line started an Asia/West Coast South America service with Lykes Lines, TMM Lines and Maruba.
The ESA service, operated jointly by Evergreen and China Ocean Shipping Co., uses 10 ships averaging 3,288 TEUs and calls Hong Kong, Kaohsiung, Singapore, Port Louis, Durban, Cape Town, Buenos Aires, Montevideo, Santos, Cape Town, Durban, Singapore, Hong Kong and Kaohsiung.
Lloyd Triestino, Nippon Yusen Kaisha, Pro Line, Quadrant Container Line and Yangming Marine already take space on the service.
