Hamburg Sud has complete ownership of Ybarra Sud

   Hamburg Sud said today it has acquired from CMA CGM the remaining 50 percent share in their joint venture Spanish line Ybarra y C'a. Sudam'rica S.A (Ybarra Sud). No financial details were disclosed.

   Ybarra Sud’s services between the Mediterranean and South America East Coast will continue to operate under the existing brand.

   Hamburg Sud is establishing a new “Area Western Mediterranean” office in Barcelona to coordinate all Ybarra Sud’s activities in the region. All Ybarra Sud’s trade management and operational duties will be undertaken at Hamburg Sud’s head office “in close cooperation with the AWM management team.”
