Hamburg Sud, King Ocean revise cooperative agreement
Hamburg Sud and King Ocean are revising their cooperative agreement in the trade between U.S. Atlantic ports and ports in Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao, Colombia and Venezuela.
In a filing with the U.S. Federal Maritime Commission, the carriers said King Ocean would now provide both vessels in their space-charter agreement, and the Dominican Republic would be excluded from the geographic scope of the cooperative agreement. The filing also amends the agreement to change its space allocations and to add that Hamburg Sud has the right to provide a vessel.
Maersk Sealand, which has bought space from Hamburg Sud, is also a party to the space charter agreement.
