HANJIN ADDS BIGGER SHIPS TO ASIA/EUROPE SERVICE
Hanjin Shipping is adding four larger vessels of about 4,500-TEU capacity to its China-Europe Express service, replacing ships of 2,700 TEUs.
The 4500-TEU “Hanjin Phoenix” was phased into the Asia/Europe service at the end of January. By May, another three vessels of 4,500 TEUs will be introduced, thereby replacing and upgrading all vessels within the service.
The China-Europe Express loop currently employs nine vessels operated by Hanjin and Sinotrans, with individual capacities ranging from 2,700 TEUs to 4,500 TEUs.
The service calls at Xingang, Qingdao, Shanghai, Chiwan, Singapore, Hamburg, Rotterdam, Felixstowe, Singapore and Hong Kong.
Senator Lines, “K” Line and COSCO Container Lines take space on the China-Europe Express service.
