Hanjin changes Busan/Indonesia service
Hanjin Shipping said Monday it will launch a modified Busan/Indonesia service called KIS (Korea-Indonesia Service), replacing the existing RTA (Incheon/Busan/Indonesia) service.
KIS will charter space from Korea Marine Transport to provide weekly service, with a port rotation of: Busan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Jakarta, Surabaya, Hong Kong and back to Busan.
KIS’ first operation is scheduled for March 19. The RTA service will terminate April 7 upon calling at Incheon.
The new Busan/Indonesia service is expected to enable Hanjin to run a more reliable service schedule and handle a larger volume of eastbound transpacific transshipment cargo, the carrier said.
