HANJIN SHIPPING CARRIED OVER 2 MILLION TEUS IN 2000
Hanjin Shipping carried over 2 million Twenty-foot Equivalent Units of containerized cargo for the first time last year.
The Korean carrier estimated that it handled 2.04 million TEUs during the year, up from 1.98 million in 1999.
The “Hanjin Vienna,” a 5,600-TEU containership, loaded the 2 millionth TEU container on Dec. 27 in Korea.
Hanjin Shipping operates from more than 200 offices in over 70 countries.
