HAPAG-LLOYD NAMES ANOTHER 4,900-TEU SHIP
Hapag-Lloyd has named another new 4,900-TEU containership, the “Rotterdam Express.”
The vessel was built by the Korean shipbuilder Hyundai Heavy Industries and named at the ECT Home terminal in the port Rotterdam.
The ship will fly the German flag and has a speed of 24 knots. It is the fourth new 4,900-TEU containership delivered to Hapag-Lloyd since the beginning of the year. The German shipping line is commissioning a total of seven such ships this year.
The “Rotterdam Express” is deployed by Hapag-Lloyd in the Asia/Europe services of the Grand Alliance.
