Hapag-Lloyd now part of Caribbean Shipowners Association
Hapag-Lloyd, which started the process of acquiring CP Ships in August 2005, has now replaced CP Ships as a member of the Caribbean Shipowners Association.
The CSA agreement on file with the Federal Maritime Association has been amended to reflect the new ownership, and to make other changes in the scope of the agreement. A revision has been made to add authority for members to enter into joint contracts with third parties for professional services, and to discuss and reach common positions on proposed governmental or industry actions.
The members of the CSA now include Bernuth Lines, CMA CGM, Crowley Liner Services, Hapag-Lloyd, Interline Connection, Seaboard Marine, SeaFreight Line, Tropical Shipping, and Zim Integrated Shipping Services.
