HI-TECH FORWARDER NETWORK IMPROVES TRACKING SYSTEM
The Hi-Tech Forwarder Network has released a newly enhanced Internet-based tracking system, Globe Track.
Globe Track, developed in partnership with Shiptrax in Texas, provides members of the freight forwarder network and their customers with 24-hour access to shipment status information.
The Internet platform allows multiple companies to view and share shipment data including master and house air waybill or bill of lading details, invoices and cargo photos. Customers receive automatic shipment status messages via e-mail or fax when new data enters the system. Regular updates are made by HTFN agents and through links with more than 90 airlines.
“HTFN looked at several tracking products before deciding to work with Shiptrax,” said Vickie Reilly, president of A.V. Reilly International, an Illinois-based HTFN member. “Shiptrax had an impressive record and a working solution which our members could use immediately.”
More than 60 percent of HTFN’s 73 agents are currently using the Globe Track system and the network estimates that average monthly traffic could soon exceed 2,000 shipments.
