Holland Maas enters Europe/Cuba trade
Holland Maas Shipping, a Dutch shipping company, is starting a direct service from Europe to Cuba and the French Antilles later this month, called Holland Maas Container Line.
Holland Maas Shipping also controls WEC Lines and Iberica Express, two liner shipping operations.
The new service will use three 868-TEU vessels with sailings every 10 days, calling at Antwerp, Le Havre, Bilbao. Fort-de-France, Pointe-a-Pitre, Havana, Freeport, Bilbao and back to Antwerp.
This service is scheduled to start March 15 when the vessel “Holland Maas Habana” departs from Antwerp. It will have a transit time of 16 days from Antwerp to Havana.
The launch of the Europe/Cuba service follows the recent termination of the service of Melbridge Container Line in the same trade.
