HOLT GROUP INC. NAMES THOMAS HOLT JR. COO
Thomas J. Holt Jr. has been named chief operating officer of the Holt Group Inc., the Philadelphia-based container shipping line, marine terminal operator and logistics company.
Holt has been president of group subsidiary Navieras/NPR Inc. since February 1999. Holt acquired Navieras the former state-owned Puerto Rican container shipping line, in 1997. He will continue to serve as president and chief executive officer of Navieras, which provides scheduled service between the United States and Puerto Rico.
Besides Navieras, Holt owns and operates marine terminals in Gloucester City, N.J.; Philadelphia; Wilmington, Del.; and San Juan, Puerto Rico. The company is owned by Thomas J. Holt Sr., chairman and CEO, who is Tom Holt Jr.'s father.
