Honolulu receives radiation detection machine
A radiation portal monitor for screening trucks has been installed for the first time in Hawaii, U.S. Customs and Border Protection said.
The detection device is located at Honolulu’s Pier 1.
CBP is in the process of installing the drive-through detectors at all land and sea ports of entry. The agency has deployed 190 radiation portal monitors at seaports so far, about one-third the projected need, according to the latest figures from the agency.
