Hooykaas replaces Gelderland at ECT
Europe Container Terminals (ECT) has named Jasper Hooykaas as its director operations and technique (chief operating officer), replacing Jan Gelderland who has accepted a new position within the Hutchison Port Holdings (HPH) Group, ECT’s parent company.
Hooykaas is ECT’s director personnel and organization, and will assume the new role July 1. Gelderland will focus on projects in wet and dry bulk and all other port activities for HPH.
ECT said it handles almost three-quarters of all containers at the Port of Rotterdam, operating the ECT Delta Terminal on the Maasvlakte Peninsula and the ECT Home Terminal and ECT Hanno Terminal in the Eemhaven/Waalhaven areas. In 2004 ECT handled 5 million TEUs.
