HORIZON LAUNCHES SOLUTIONS BASED ON MICROSOFT.NET
Horizon Services Group LLC, a provider of e-commerce solutions for logistics companies, said it plans to release software applications for logistics management based on Microsoft.NET technology.
Horizon Services, a wholly owned subsidiary of CSX Lines, said it would release later this summer SEDcaptain, an application tool enabling shippers to automatically create and file shipper export declarations directly to U.S. Customs, using Customs’ Automated Export System (AES).
SEDcaptain will be the first .NET release in the CaptainSuite software that Horizon Services will produce over the next nine months.
“The XML capabilities baked into the Microsoft platform with .NET enables enterprises to overcome stubborn business integration issues associated with traditional electronic data interchange,” Horizon Services said in a statement.
“Microsoft.NET technology will help companies overcome age-old barriers to dynamic systems integration,” said Duncan Wright, head of strategic sales and product development for Horizon.
Horizon Services, founded in 2001, is based in Dallas.
