House sub-panel postpones Syracuse rail safety hearing
The U.S. House of Representatives Subcommittee on Railroads has postponed a scheduled April 26 hearing on rail safety issues.
The bipartisan leadership of the House sub-panel said they delayed the hearing because testimony of witnesses could have had “an inadvertent adverse effect” on pending investigations by the New York State Attorney General and other agencies into a fatal rail accident that occurred in Rochester, N.Y.
