Kaylee Nix has some big shoes to fill as she stands in for Kevin Hill on this episode of Put That Coffee Down.
Nix joins Richie Daigle for a deep dive into the challenges recruiters and companies are dealing with during a time when there are more jobs open than applicants to fill them. The two welcome Charlie Saffro, president and founder of CS Recruiting, for a discussion about how she is helping place people into new roles and keep them there.
Saffro points out that companies are having to work harder and offer more to potential employees than ever before, and that hiring the right person could mean a total revamp of company culture and expectations.
She says in order to appeal to the modern-day job seeker, leadership needs to meet employees in the middle and be flexible on options like working from home or hybrid work environments.

How about paying a fair wage for the experience being offered? I have heard of some very nice pay rates for drivers, but after calling it is all smoke and mirrors. The wages being offered out here are McDonalds territory, a skilled driver with years of safe operation and great references should be worth more than what a kid gets paid at the local fast food joint.
