HYDE TO ADDRESS NCBFAA GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS CONFERENCE
House Judiciary Committee Chairman Henry J. Hyde, R-Ill., will address the National Customs Brokers and Forwarders Association of America’s annual Government Affairs Conference in Washington, Sept. 18.
The topic of Hyde’s address will be “Fair Play for Intermediaries.” Earlier this year, Congressman Hyde proposed a bill (H.R. 3138) to abolish carrier antitrust immunity in the Ocean Shipping Reform Act.
“A long-time friend and supporter of the NCBFAA, Congressman Hyde is working to end the antitrust immunity enjoyed by the ocean shipping lines,” the NCBFAA said.
