Hyundai targets India, Vietnam
Hyundai Merchant Marine said it will convert its Mumbai office into a subsidiary in April, as part of a plan to rearrange and strengthen its overseas organizations.
“It will have a special interest in India, which is a potential new market after China, and in developing fresh business such as the transportation of iron ore,” Hyundai said.
Hyundai will also open a branch in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, where cargo volumes are growing quickly.
As a result of its reorganization, Hyundai said it will have an overseas network comprising four regional headquarters (North America, Europe, Southeast /West Asia and China), 23 subsidiaries, 57 overseas offices and 6 branch offices.
