IBM, MICHIGAN STATE FORM SUPPLY CHAIN RESEARCH CENTER
IBM and Michigan State University’s Eli Broad College of Business have started a new center for advanced study in logistics at MSU, in East Lansing, Mich.
Their shared venture, the Center for On Demand Supply Chain Research, “will simulate, test and study the workings of an end-to-end supply chain,” IBM and MSU said in a joint statement.
The partners plan for the lab to be linked — 'via an advanced computing grid — to other top universities specializing in supply chain management,” the statement said.
IBM’s contribution comes from its Shared University Research program, which provides about 50 grants a year for projects at various colleges.
