Icelandair Cargo’s volumes down 7% in May
Reykjav'k-based FL Group, Icelandair Cargo’s parent company, said the air freight carrier transported 7 percent less cargo tons in May, compared to the same month last year.
From the start of 2005 Icelandair Cargo’s transport has increased 0.3 percent, the FL Group said.
“The cargo market is down due to less export to the U.S. because of the exchange rate of the dollar to the Icelandic krona,” said Ragnhildur Geirsd'ttir, president and chief executive officer of the FL Group.
