IJS’s China operations gets “Class A” forwarding license
New York-based forwarding company IJS Global Inc. said its new subsidiary in China has received a “Class A” freight forwarding license from the Chinese government.
In China, foreign-based freight forwarders with a Class A license can operate within China without subcontracting to another company that has a Class A license.
IJS in October acquired the ESI Group, which included Hong Kong-based ESI Freight Ltd. and ESI Freight (China), which serves mainland China. The new company, IJS Global China, begins operations Jan. 1 and will be based in Shanghai.
