IMRA ENCOURAGED BY BUSHÆS FREE TRADE AGENDA
The International Mass Retail Association said it supports President Bush’s vision of free trade, because it provides “the best products at the best prices” to the market.
“We will support giving the president fast-track authority to negotiate trade expanding agreements,” said Robert J. Verdisco, IMRA president. The Arlington, Va.-based association represents many of the world’s largest retail firms.
“Mass retailers are the leaders in providing price-competitive value to the world’s consumers,” Verdisco added. “Broader trade opportunities create U.S. jobs and bring consumers lower prices.”
