INDIA/CHINA VSA LAUNCH SECOND SERVICE
Dongnama Shipping Company Ltd., Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Ltd., Pacific International Line and Shipping Corporation of India Ltd have announced the launch of a new fixed day weekly service linking Chennai (Madras) with China and Southeast Asia.
The new service, INDFEX II is expected to start with a westbound sailing from Dalian on June 4. Five 1,500 TEU vessels will follow a port rotation of Dalian, Xingang, Yantai, Qingdao, Hong Kong, Singapore, Port Kelang, Chennai, Port Kelang, Singapore, Pasir Gudang, Hong Kong and Dalian.
In June last year the same consortium, along with Sea Consortium, started the weekly INDFEX service calling Nhava Sheva, Colombo, Singapore, Hong Kong, Busan, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Singapore, Colombo and Nhava Sheva.
A spokesman for Sea Consortium said it was still considering joining the INDFEX II service as a slot chartering partner.
