INTERBREW SIGNS WITH EXEL FOR U.K. DISTRIBUTION
Under a new eight-year contract, Exel, a logistics services provider in the United Kingdom, will develop and operate a distribution network'in the U.K. for Interbrew, a beer brewer based in Belgium.
Interbrew, which has 37,000 employees worldwide, markets such brands as Stella Artois, Beck’s, Hoegaarden, and Bass Ale.
Exel will absorb 1,500 Interbrew employees and outsource secondary distribution operations to Tradeteam, a joint venture between Exel and Coors Brewers.
