Intercontainer-Interfrigo adds more train services
Swiss intermodal firm Intercontainer-Interfrigo will next Monday increase its block train offerings with two new services for the Austria market and a new intra-Germany service.
The new Austria services are the Hungarolink block train linking Salzburg with Budapest and Sopron in Hungary four times a week and the Hansalink, a four-times-weekly service connecting Salzburg to Hamburg in Germany.
Intercontainer will also be introducing a new block train service within Germany. The Wanne-Bremerhaven-Container-Express (WBCE) will be a three-times-weekly service between Bremerhaven (all docks) and the terminal at Wanne in the Ruhr. In Wanne maritime containers will be able to connect up with WSCE services to Sopron and on to the Balkans and Turkey.
In the meantime, the frequency of Intercontainer’s existing Wanne-Sopron-Container-Express (WSCE) services has been stepped up from two to three weekly departures. At the Sopron hub connections are available with Balkan trains serving Romania, Macedonia, Bulgaria, Greece and Turkey.
