INTERMARINE EXPANDS ASIA MANAGEMENT
Intermarine, the New Orleans-based provider of ocean transport and heavy-haul transportation services, has expanded its management staff in Asia to 'provide a more tailored and personal service in the transpacific trade.
Capt. Heinz Prouss and Capt. Marinus van der Valk have joined the company to supervise cargo operations for Intermarine vessels discharging and loading throughout the Far East. They report to Capt. Julio Chen, based in Taipei, who is also responsible for cargo stowage and vessel utilization planning.
Richard Seeg, based in Seoul, has overall responsibility for Intermarine's Asian activities.
Prouss, based in Singapore, sailed for 20 years as a master on heavy-lift/project ships and most recently managed project cargo handling activities in Singapore.
Van der Valk, based in Japan, has 20 years of experience in managing operational and cargo handling aspects of turnkey super-heavy-lift transport projects.
