INTERMARINE RAISES FUEL SURCHARGES FOR SOUTH AMERICA, CARIBBEAN

   Intermarine, managing agent for Industrial Maritime Carriers USA, said Wednesday the carrier will increase its bunker fuel surcharges on all of its services to and from South America and the Caribbean, effective Jan. 24.

   The new surcharge levels will be $150 per TEU, $275 per 40 footer and $11.50, per weight or measure for breakbulk.

   The surcharges will apply to all inbound and outbound cargoes.

   Intermarine, based in New Orleans, provides ocean transport and inland heavy-haul services for breakbulk, specialized project and heavy-lift cargoes.
