International Asset Systems handles container depot data for P&O Nedlloyd
P&O Nedlloyd has signed a contract with Oakland, Calif.-based International Asset Systems to help automate the flow of data concerning the maintenance and repair of containers at over 300 of the ocean carrier’s depots worldwide.
International Asset Systems will gather the data from the depots and transfer it automatically to the carrier’s proprietary maintenance and tracking systems. Depots will either upload data direct from their in-house depot management systems into International Asset Systems or create the data directly on the company’s system via web screens. The data transactions include gate movements, repair estimates, work orders and status messages.
Previously, P&O Nedlloyd received this data by email, fax, and even hard copy, which was then manually entered into its systems.
