International Shipholding sets up alternative offices

   International Shipholding Corp., which owns Forest Lines and Waterman Steamship Corp., has set up alternative offices to handle work normally conducted in New Orleans.

   ISC said it is continuing to assess the status of the office in New Orleans in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, but has established operations in Baton Rouge and Houston to serve as alternate locations in the mean time. ISC's New York office remains fully operational.

   In Baton Rouge, ISC is operating from 5555 Hilton Avenue, Suite 310. (Zip Code 70808) In Houston, it is operating from 10050 Northwest Freeway, Suite 175 (Zip Code 77092).

   Forest Lines and the Waterman LASH-vessel operations have been relocated to Lake Charles, La. Lake Charles will allow LASH vessel operation to continue without interruption and will provide access to the Mississippi River through the Port Allen Cut Off just south of Baton Rouge. ISA said all its LASH barges located in New Orleans when Katrina hit have been moved upriver and are undamaged.
