IRAN SHIPPING LINE STARTS EUROPE/MIDEAST SERVICE

EVERGREEN/LLOYD TRIESTINO WANT CHARTER APPROVAL

   Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Line, the little-known Tehran-based carrier, has started a container service connecting northern Europe and the Mediterranean to the Mideast, with a 10-day frequency.

   The Persian Container Line service uses five ships of approximately 1,000 TEUs and calls at Felixstowe, Antwerp, Hamburg, Naples, Jeddah, Dubai, Bandar Abbas, Naples, Felixstowe, Antwerp and Hamburg.
