Israel Airport Authority picks L-3 detection system
The Israel Airport Authority has awarded a contract to New York-based L-3 Communications, a provider of surveillance technology, to supply explosive detection systems for a new terminal at Ben Gurion Airport.
Initially, L-3 Communications will provide five eXaminer 3DX 6000 units that produce three-dimensional images at multiple security workstations.
The contract could be worth more than $26 million if the Airport Authority uses an option to purchase 20 such systems, L-3 Communications said in a statement.
