Italia Marittima to start Taranto/Algiers feeder
Evergreen Group subsidiary Italia Marittima SpA, formerly known as Lloyd Triestino, in May will start a service between its Mediterranean hub port of Taranto in Italy and Algiers in Algeria, North Africa.
The ALS service will have a sailing frequency of every nine day and will deploy a vessel of 369 TEUs. The service is due to commence May 9.
Italia Marittima already operates three feeder services from Taranto: the Tunis-Malta Service (TMS), the Greece-Turkey Service (GTS) and the Intra-Mediterranean Service (IMS).
The TMS service has a port rotation of Taranto, Tunis, Marsaxlokk, Catania and Taranto. The GTS loop calls: Taranto, Piraeus, Kumport, Haydarpasa, Gemlik, Thessaloniki, Izmir and Taranto. The IMS service calls: Taranto, Alexandria, Limassol, Ashdod, Mersin and Taranto.
