ITC: Canadian hog imports do not injure domestic producers
The U.S. International Trade Commission has ruled that domestic hog farmers are not injured by imports of Canadian hogs, despite the Commerce Department’s determination that Canadian hogs are sold in the United States at less than fair value.
As a result of the ITC’s negative determination, no antidumping duty order will be issued.
The ITC started its investigation on March 5, after receiving a petition from the National Pork Producers Council, numerous state associations and individual pork producers.
