ITC LAUNCHES CANADIAN SOFTWOOD LUMBER IMPORTS INVESTIGATIONS
The U.S. International Trade Commission said it would begin countervailing duty and antidumping investigations into the imports of Canadian softwood lumber.
The agency said the investigations are in response to a petition filed by the Coalition for Fair Lumber Imports, the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners, and the Paper, Allied-Industrial, Chemical and Energy Workers International Union on April 2.
The ITC’s director of operations has scheduled a conference regarding the investigations at its Washington headquarters on April 23, starting at 9:30 a.m. For more information or to attend the conference, contact Jim McClure at (202) 205-3191 by April 19.
