ITC REQUESTS INDUSTRY INPUT FOR HTS CHANGES
The U.S. International Trade Commission wants the shipping industry’s input to improve the structure of the nation’s Harmonized Tariff Schedule.
The ITC, which is responsible for maintaining the Harmonized Tariff Schedule, wants to make it easier for the public to identify changes.
The ITC has also asked users of the electronic revisions of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule to suggest changes or improvements in the posting of these files on its Web site: http://www.usitc.gov.
Comments are due to the agency by March 7. For more information, contact Eugene A. Rosengarden, director of the ITC’s Office of Tariff Affairs and Trade Agreements in Washington, at (202) 205-2592.
