ITC’S”YEAR IN TRADE 2001″ REPORT AVAILABLE
The U.S. International Trade Commission’s “Year in Trade 2001” is available on ITC’s Internet site, http://www.usitc.gov, or on CD-ROM.
The report is accessible in the “Publications” section of the Web site. The report is one of the government’s most comprehensive reviews of U.S. trade-related activities. It includes:
* Global economic conditions and U.S. trade with major partners during 2001, including statistical tables.
* World Trade Organization and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development activities.
* Regional trade developments under the North American Free Trade Agreement, the Free Trade Area of the Americas, the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum, and the African Growth and Opportunity Act.
* Bilateral trade issues with major U.S. trading partners, which would include interaction with Canada on softwood lumber, Mexico on access of Mexican trucks to U.S. roads.
* Developments in the U.S. textile and apparel trade program.
