Jacksonville groups offer export certification program
Four Jacksonville entities will team up to offer an international trade certification program for exporters beginning in January.
The Small Business Development Center at the University of North Florida, the Port of Jacksonville, the Beaver Street Enterprise Center, and the Small Business Center of the Jacksonville Regional Chamber of Commerce are partnering to offer the program Jan. 28-March 3.
The program was developed by the Florida Small Business Development Center and is designed to help small businesses break into export products and services. Program participants will learn the steps to exporting, from marketing to documentation to handling monetary and legal matters. The program is based on the textbook The Global Entrepreneur.
