Jacksonville trade expo set May 8
The 2007 Global Trade and Commerce Expo, organized by the Jacksonville Sister Cites Association, has been scheduled for May 8.
The event brings together representatives from Jacksonville and its six sister cities: Nantes, France; Port Elizabeth, South Africa; Bahia Blanca, Argentina; Murmansk, Russia; Masan, South Korea; and Yinkgou, China. The daylong expo is designed to encourage trade between Jacksonville and those cities.
The expo is scheduled for 5:30-8 p.m. at the Haskell Building, 111 Riverside Ave., Jacksonville. Registration fee is $10. To register, contact Nancy Olson, international protocol officer, at (904) 630-1059 or by e-mail at nolson@coj.net.
In addition to the sister cities association, the expo is supported by the Jacksonville Port Authority, Keller Williams Realty, Enterprise Florida, CSX, the Mayo Clinic, Southern Wine and Spirits, and the U.S. Commercial Service.
