Jamison picked as TSA deputy

   Kip Hawley, the new Transportation Security Administration administrator, named Robert Jamison, as his deputy.

   Jamison served as deputy administrator of the Federal Transit Administration for the past three years, where he led the development of the agency’s risk-management strategy.

   He is expected to help Hawley, who was confirmed by the Senate in July, conduct a review of TSA policies.

   Jamison’s previous experience includes work as acting administrator of the Federal Railway Administration, a senior operations officer for the American Red Cross and 12 years in management with UPS.

   He is expected to take his post in the coming weeks, TSA said.
