Japanese press parts manufacturer coming to Port Everglades
The Japanese manufacturer of printing press equipment Komori Corp. plans to open a distribution center in the Port Everglades Free Trade Zone, according to the Broward Alliance, a Broward County public-private economic development agency.
Komori, which reported sales of $1 billion in its 2006 fiscal year ended March 31, will have distribution, sales and service operations from the new location. According to a report in the Miami Herald, Komori expects to hire 35 people over the next three years.
There was no information available on when the Port Everglades operations would begin.
