K.C. Chang takes the helm at Evergreen Marine Corp.
Kuo-Cheng “K.C.” Chang, son of Evergreen group founder Yung-fa Chang, was appointed chairman of Evergreen Marine Corp. (Taiwan) Ltd., the listed arm of the group, at the company’s annual meeting Thursday.
K.C. Chang, who was once chairman of Evergreen America, joined the Evergreen group in 1983. He has a broad knowledge of the international transportation business, with hands-on experience from the many positions he has held within the company. He also serves as chairman of EVA Airways and is a vice group chairman of the Evergreen group.
K.C. Chang will succeed former Evergreen Marine Corp. (Taiwan) chairman Shiuan-Yu “S.Y.” Kuo, who continues to serve as vice group chairman of the Evergreen group. Kuo will be responsible for overseeing Evergreen business in marine and aviation in North America.
Arnold Wang remains as president of Evergreen Marine Corp. (Taiwan) Ltd., and will work under K.C. Chang.
