“K” LINE STARTS EUROPEAN BULK AND GAS SHIPPING ARM

   Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Ltd. is starting a business base in Europe for bulk carriers, liquefied natural gas carriers and related resources transport businesses.

   “K” Line (Europe) Ltd., a London-based subsidiary of the Japanese group, has established a bulk and gas division.

   “K” Line said that the move is part of its new three-year management plan, which targets the promotion of local regional businesses.

   “This development will also enable “K” Line to enhance services for existing customers within Europe and to develop the company’s business activities in this important regional market,” the Japanese group said.
