K + N launches new LCL rail service between China and Europe

Third-party logistics provider Kuehne + Nagel’s KN Eurasia Express will offer less-than-containerload service from its hub terminal Wuhan in China to Hamburg and Malaszewicze/Poznan in Poland, according to a statement from the company.

Kuehne + Nagel International AG is launching a new less-than-containerload (LCL) rail service between China and Europe, the company said in a statement.
The third-party logistics provider’s KN Eurasia Express will offer LCL service from its hub terminal Wuhan in China to Hamburg and Malaszewicze/Poznan in Poland.
The new service, which will target customers in the automotive, high-tech and fashion industries, is intended to compliment K + N’s existing full-containerload (FCL) service from Duisburg, Germany.
Otto Schacht, member of the management board of Kuehne + Nagel responsible for seafreight, said the KN Eurasia Express will offer transit times of 14 to 18 days, “much faster delivery times compared to maritime transport, at lower costs compared to airfreight.”
