Kitty Hawk, pilots agree to long-term labor deal

Pilots and flight engineers at Kitty Hawk Aircargo have ratified a 10-year labor agreement, according to the company and the pilots' union.

The length of the deal is unusual because collective bargaining agreements typically cover three to five years. Other unique features of the deal, according to the company and the Kitty Hawk Pilots Association, include a no strike/no lockout clause; limits on the number of changes permitted to the agreement and binding arbitration to resolve contract-related disputes.

Kitty Hawk employees 136 people for its flight crews.
