Kuehne + Nagel selects Descartes for air cargo messaging
Kuehne + Nagel International AG, a global freight forwarding and logistics services company based in Schindellegi, Switzerland, has chosen information technology firm Descartes Systems as its provider of air cargo messaging services worldwide.
Descartes's applications allow Kuehne + Nagel to reduce costs 'with electronic communication of our house waybill documents to U.S. Customs and Border Protection, enabling rapid access to status information from the airlines, and providing the ability to pro-actively send status updates to customers,' said Frank Vetter, director of processes and systems at Kuehne + Nagel.
Descartes is based in Waterloo, Ontario, in Canada.
