Kuehne + Nagel’s profit up 45% after nine months
Kuehne + Nagel International AG, the Swiss forwarding and contract logistics provider, increased its net income after nine months by 45.1 percent to CFR315 million ($249 million), from CFR217 million in the same period 2005.
Group operating income was CFR611 million ($483 million), up 53.1 percent compared to CFR399 million. Group revenue rose 31.8 percent to CFR13.3 billion ($10.5 billion) from CFR10.1 billion a year ago.
“The successful implementation of our strategy to create added value for our customers worldwide through integrated logistics solutions is reflected in the consistent growth across all business fields and regions, and we are confident of exceeding previous full-year results again in 2006,” said Klaus Herms, Kuehne + Nagel’s chief executive officer.
