LANDAIR 3RD-QUARTER NET INCOME JUMPS
Landair Corp. reported a net income of $1.6 million for the third quarter of 2001, up 518 percent from the prior year quarter.
Revenue dropped 19 percent to $25.8 million. Operating income before interest, taxes and non-operating income increased to $2.9 million, a 195 percent increase.
Net income through the first nine months of 2001 was $4 million, up 425 percent, while revenue dropped 17 percent to $82 million.
